blue screen

My laptop has been crashing. The blue screen disappears so fast I can not read it.
When I reboot, I am told the system has recovered from a serious error, do I want
to send information to Microsoft? I have not, but here is what is in the message:
Error signature

BCP4 : 85000E38 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1
The following files are included in the report

What is wrong with my system and how do I fix it?
