Ok if you read my other post this is problem 2, which is as follows:
I have been working on this computer for about two weeks now ever part is brand new
including the OS. I though perhaps I had a virus so I scanned it using both Bit Defender
and PC-Cillin (which came with the board software) The processor is a 3.20 Ghz Celeron
and I am running 1 gig of DDR PC3200 400Mhz RAM. I have noticed a real annoying flaw
in the system that is getting more pronounced as time goes one. During use it will
lock up and freeze there soild. At first the hard drive light would stay on. But
now it doesn't I am running two 200 gig Maxtors divided into 100 partitions and even
that doesn't seem to matter (as I had it set up before as straight out one drive
one partition). Virus scans turn up nothing and it happens when ever I throw large
data around....i.e. downloading a music file over 5 megs, recording a video into
the system, moving a directory from folder to folder, and so on. I have wondered
if it is the lack of memory that could cause this or the fact that I am running a
Celeron processor? Any ideas would be welcome! Thank you!
