I was trying to mod my cell phone and use a custom driver for it i found online. However, something got messed up and now I can't get my computer to update the driver or go back to the old ones. I tried to delete the entry on device manager, delete the history of drivers and reboot so windows xp could get a fresh look at it. But the new hardware wizard comes up, tries to install the drivers automatically and gives me a message there is a problem. when I go to device manager and point to the drivers, it won't recognize them either. Btw, I have a motorola phone and they have a nice utility that automatically installs the drivers for u. but that won't work anymore either. Thanks.
