Final tally...

2 active viruses, 3 in the system restore folders.
772 + another 4 registry errors
12 gigabytes of downloads shoved into folders.
260 tracking cookies.

Response from stepson:
"that's not WHY it was running slow. It was just freezing" then "oh yes. it does 
run faster". He has been educated yet again not to download screensavers, executable 
files or flash files. I suspect this is a process that will be repeated every few 
months until he's about 14. Then it'll be all the viruses and auto-diallers that 
come from the porno websites.
