Windows update icon in tray

My icon used to display in the system tray only when HIGH PRIORITY updates were available. Now, though none are available, but since Service Pak 3 is available, it won't go away. Anyone know how to remove it? Turning off auto update won't help because then it puts a warning icon in the tray. Thank you. Tom
