Automatic Updates Problem Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 10:42 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Andrew (57 messages posted) I just got a new pc and I have a security alert saying that automatic updates are not enabled. When I press 'turn on automatic updates' it says it can't be changed and that I should go to 'system' in the control panel and turn it on there, but I just get the same message saying it cant be changed.
