Uninstall WIN-XP, I simply give the whole shebang the BOOT with an ACRONIS RESCUE
DISC after I save all my files. It fixes a few other problems too, like an EVER-GROWING
Windows program size. (Ever noticed how a new install grows from 3.8Gb to over 15Gb
in only 3-4months?) - (allowing for 3Gig of programs and other files you put in on
top of the OS) You then only have to re-install Windows and your programs. Once you
have a good clean system, use Acronis Disc Image suite, and ghost a copy to a portable
HDD. next time you can format the HDD with a rescue disc, and ghost the OS back into
place. Better still, divide (partition) your HDD if you have space, and put another
OS on the 2nd HDD partition (leave it UNALLOCATED SPACE) such as the Free UBUNTU,
one of the easiest ones to use, a bit like Windows in ease of use. (www.ubuntu.com)
