I would be very happy to be wrong in this instance :-) It is just a fact that every one that I have ever tried was u/s. Some of the free tools available on the 'net claim to be able to recover files from flash drives that will not even install on the system and be recognized. That is nonsense. Your drive is not that bad though and there may be a chance with it. In some cases, the fault may only be with the USB interface or memory controller part of the device and the memory storage chip itself may have all the data safe and sound, but you definitely need a specialist to work on that.
