I noticed also that you tried to boot that disk in another PC and just got a BSOD - that is generally what will happen unless the mobo + CPU of the new machine are the same as the original machine. FYI It is possible to get it to work in the new machine (assuming the disk is sound) by doing a "Repair" installation of XP from the installation CD. Cheers. Spexx.
