That threat will not be specific to Outlook, Express or not. I suspect you got it
because the PC of somebody you know is already infected. Did you get email from someone
you know, or from a previously unknown source? Anyway, you know me well enough, I
couldn't resist visiting that page. Ho ho ho. Awooga awooga. Malware alert! It tried
to install an ActiveX object as well as download a file. It also caused iexplore.exe
to "eat" about 400 Mb of memory! I have the file now - Avast and SUPERAntiSpyware
have both been tried on it and think it is clean, but we know better eh? This is
just like the other thing I found yesterday (or was it the day before) where scanning
the file reveals nothing untoward but I'm sure that if I run it on my sandbox disk
it will be infected in (nano)seconds. This is one of a new breed of "zipped" packages
that the anti-virus scanners cannot yet penetrate. Shields up folks and set your
BS deflectors to maximum. Cheers. Spexx.
