Thanks for the bootlog. The behaviour you have spotted with SAS and System generating
activity together is expected and the TeaTimer using a lot of CPU at startup is well-known
too, so no worries there.
Your bootlog shows one slightly suspicious driver
being loaded mchInjDrv.sys which may ot may not be there for legitimate purposes.
My knowledge here is limited but it is described as a driver that injects code into
other processes, is from a legitimate source but has been known to be exploited by
malware and is/was flagged-up by some anti-malware programs. Not too sure that I
might just be paranoid there!
I think the best clue is that the PC seemed
to be behaving normally until IE was started. Over the last two days there have been
reports on this forum from people with a similar symptom to yours i.e. spikes of
CPU usage every minute or so. One of them was cured after removing a network card,
one of them was cured after a reboot (but has been known to re-surface on occasion).
Now maybe it is no coincidence that your symptom starts when IE is started and it
may be related to network usage, possibly some setting on the network device. I will
post up again if I get inspired. Cheers. Spexx.
