You said that the drive you are thinking of taking registry entries from is just a raw XP, so it will not have the uninstall entries that you need. Most programs that will appear in add/remove programs will either have a .msi file in the c:\windows\installer folder or their own installer/uninstaller in their Program Files folder, so all is not lost. If the applications are still working and you don't want to remove them, it isn't really an issue in practical terms. What is more worrying is why this event happened in the first place. Has your PC been checked out for malware infection or was there some other known cause for it? Cheers. Spexx.
