Installing Windows XP copying files pauses Friday, August 1, 2008 at 12:27 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Clive Richardson (7 messages posted) I'm trying to install Windows XP Home on a Dell Dimension 8100 and it's going through the copying files stage which is pausing for long periods (like over 12 minutes) seemingly with no activity at all. Then it kicks in again and continues but only another 5% then it pauses again. What can be causing this?
