Try changing the default printer to something else generic. Some programs initialize
themselves to the settings of the "default" printer when they start. Maybe it is
just having a problem with that printer in particular, and if you have another printer
selected as the default printer, then when the program starts it may work. Then
you would just tell it to print to a different printer once you are in the program.
Just an idea.
