notification area settings change by themselves Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 8:21 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by David Bookbinder (360 messages posted) Frequently, my "always hide" and "always show" settings for the taskbar notification area get changed by XP, or forgotten, such that they revert to "Hide when inactive," which is almost never what I actually want to happen.
