Here is the longer anser.
In Windows we do not merge drives unless there is a great need. {In Linux it is just normal part of the system, but we are here talking Windows.} In Windows we merge drives that have the proper harware. I assume you were looking for a software solution.
For commercail users of Windows RAID-5 is the choice for high capacity, economy and reliability. You buy six identical drives and install five and get a net yield of four. {You need a spare that is a perfect equal to the others, so you buy them together.}
