I don't think this will do what I want to do. I don't want to stop myself from changing
the Taskbar settings. I want Windows to stop changing them for me. I am not causing
the settings to change, and nobody else is using my computer. What is happening is
that I set most of my taskbar icons either to show or to be hidden all the time.
This works for a few days, then I notice that some of the icons I had set to be hidden
are showing up and some set to be showing are now hidden. When I go into the area
to change the notification settings, the problem icons have been set to only show
when active. I reset them back to being either hidden or showing all the time, but
a few days later, with no action on my part except normal use of my applications,
the same problem occurs. Perhaps freezing changes to the taskbar will prevent this,
but I was looking for some way to find where in the registry these setting are stored
so that I can create a .REG file and load it when things get messed up (or, for that
matter, autoload it at startup).
Thanks,
David

Hope this helps. Cheers. Spexx.
