Most perplexing! I did not expect to see quite so much stuff in the rootkit revealer
log, but it seems relatively benign at first glance. That driver mchinjdrv.sys seems
to be generated dynamically and I think it has to be given the benefit of the doubt
right now, since it could easily be part of your anti-malware/firewall solutions.
The CPU spikes appear to arise only when the system is otherwise idle, so I am wondering
if there is a background "idle task" that is set to run? I am rapidly running out
of ideas and starting into the realm of pure speculation! Sometimes it is just easier
to save the critical stuff and format/reinstall, rather than try to track things
down. It depends on how much time and inclination one has to continue an investigation.
