The problem occurs when the system is working, not just when it is idle but it does
seem to depend on what it is doing. Simple editing and the PC will freeze for 5-10
seconds in every 60. Working on some process (e.g. Regcure) the pattern is not visible
while regcure is running (although there is significant system actiivty)
I tend to agree that it is reformat time but thanks for your interest.
