A new twist.
Last night I reinstalled XP SP2 from a CD (including reformat the disc with NTFS)
and guess what . . . . . .
I get exactly the same symptoms. I noticed it for the first time when XP started
and I had to wait to type in the Administrator password but I didn't look carefully
at Task manager until after I had installed pc-cillin.
But I am sure it is a native windows thing because the mouse locked up a coupe of
time during the pc-cillin installation.
Now what?
Back to W2K?
Upgrade the BIOS?
