For Super FDisk 1 I tried typing "help" as well as "?" but nothing. Please note,
even though there is a flashing cursor there is no prompt. 16 keystrokes and that
is fall amount of typing accepted on this first screen.
Due to this poor result I am now considering using DiskPart but have read that it
only works from the recovery console - which may be useless for my case of a missing
operating system that only boots off a CD which states one of the system files needs
replacing with no option to do this. Therefore, I am currently considering erasing
the partition, and this is where diskPart comes in. Do you have any experience with
this? If I can erase the hard disc then I can forget the supplier partition and opt
for Vista. I do not think I am experiencing a hard disc problem as the hard disc
was fortunately checked hours before this incident. Plus the re-installation process
starts and mentions it cannot find the back-up or nec restore, overlapping drives,
a partition that extends past the end of the disk and available disk space being
assigned to other partition.
