Awesome tip! Deleting the registry key, then running explorer.exe from Task Manager
brought back the start menu, taskbar.
Previously I was getting the same error as the original poster. This is on a customer's
computer after she got a virus.
FYI to others with this issue, you should be able to run just about anything from
Task Manager, such as regedit, control panel applets, etc.
