What was the original OEM version? It has to have at least SP1 incorporated into
it before you can slipstream SP3. Slipstreaming SP3 into an install disc that doesn't
have at least SP1 can be done, but it takes a bit of massaging/changing some files
which most users don't have the knowledge or patience to do. I've seen instructions
on the web, but it doesn't always work for everyone that tries it. There are reports
of some slipstreamed failures with some slipstreaming applications handling SP3 but
I though most, if not all of them, had been updated to handle some differences in
SP3.
Bottom line is that MS says that sometimes an install of Windows won't be able to
be repaired so you won't get some of the options to do it, or you have optical media
issues, such as a bad slipstream or bad media/burn.
