1) You're better off leaving the swap file on C:
The internal drive will probably be faster, and also, if you ever have a problem 
with the firewire connection, or forget to switch on the external HD then your PC 
will fail to boot if the swap file is on that drive. 

2) These days it's generally best to let Windows manage the swap file size. Back 
in the old Win 9x days it was best to fix the size, but with XP or Vista you shouldn't 
need to.
