what do these XP messages mean?

When I reboot my computer I get the typical windows message box titled: "c:\documnets The message reads: Windows cannot find '"c:\documents'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. BTW the quotation marks are exactly as shown in the message. I close the message box and then I get another message box titled desktop with the message: Windows could not load or run '"c:\documents' specified in the registry. I close this box and get another message tilted and with the same message as above but and instead of '"c:\documents' . When I close this box I get a message titled "data\adobe\manger.exe finally I get a last box tilted setting\talino\applications with the windows cannot find... message. This obviously seems like a registry issue any solutions to get rid of these messages. My computer does not seem to be adversely affected but they are still annoying.
