Found that windows booted slower and slower, until it reached step 8. I am using
xp X64, and found all is good for a while, till the boot sequence takes a tumble.
for 2-3 days I would turn my system on and it would get as far as the login screen,
then halt. I assumed that I had a virus, and went to worek, letting norton AVG take
a long, slow look at my drive, to detect any problems.
Little did I realise that the problem may be deeper than I thought. I followed the
instructions of 666, who suggested rolling back windows. luckily for me, all I do
with my rig is a little surfing, and a hell of a lot of gaming. a little roll back
for me is no problem.
