These ancient POS systems can be extremely frustrating. Especially with no company support. Have you considered that the information listed are two actual check #s in the register? Maybe pinpointing those check #s and removing them or attempting to find the trouble with them will help. Often times running maintenance procedures on the system will fix these functions. My experience with this stuff is that there are some real simple procedures that are supposed to be taken care of by the people running the show and they fail to do so. So, after months of not closing things out properly errors build up. Its up to you to determine that.
