However, it seems that when there has been other usb installations, the reader is dropped and won't work until the software is reinstalled. I have had this reader thru numerous motherboard types and processors with the same problem. Now on an new duo ECS mb. Software works for a while and then quits and have to reninstall toread SD card. It is 2009 now.
