I was having the same problem, so went to try to deleting the "ISAPNP" thing and
I didn't see it when I clicked on "show hidden devices & drivers" I didnt see any
called "ISAPNP" at all but I did see a couple of "AVP" devices (some "Anti Virus
Program" my wife installed) and there were "!" next to them indicating problems,
so I disabled them both, rebooted, and now my sound works fine!?
Go fig!? I have *no* idea why THAT fixed a *sound* problem!?!?!
It seems that this sound issue is a common problem with many different causes!
Now if I can just fix all the *OTHER* malware-caused problems that have poped up
on my machine in the past three weeks! LOL!
