Alright, I tried EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING on this thread. Not a darn thing
worked. However I found on my "Device Manager" an item called PCI Bus that had an
exclamation point next to it. I thought "what the hell let's try updating the driver
for that". What do you know, it fixed my problem right away by installing the UAA
"Universal Audio Architecture". All of a sudden here comes my IDT Audio Control Panel
and sweet sweet SOUND! When I had read about UAA from other posts and Wikipedia I
thought it was only for Windows Vista but apparently not! Maybe it's just that Vista
comes with it already installed but I was sure from what I read that XP didn't require
it. I guess those people were wrong:-)
So if you are having this issue try checking out "PCI Bus" in your Device Manager
under "System Devices". It may just solve this problem for you as well:-D
