It removes unwanted junk from your installation CD. I think it will work for recovery CDs too. If not, you could find a copy of a retail installation disk the same flavor that you have. You would have to use your product key found on the sticker on the outside of your box. You may also have to alter a couple of files to make it work. All the drivers that you may need should be available from the manufacturers web site.
