Hey guys,
I'm having some trouble. I just moved into my new place, and I am trying to connect
my monitor to my tv to use as a second (clone) monitor, so I don't have to leave
the couch to check my email. I've had a multi-monitor setup for the past few years,
and I always had my older tv connected via s-video, back when my computer and tv
were in the same room, and I never had any problems. However, in my new place, the
computer and tv are in separate rooms. So I gave up one of my monitors to try and
make this work. The tv (which is a sony bravia) is connected to the computer via
a vga cable at the moment. I was planning to use a clone display (i have used both
the nvidea control panel and a program called ultramon in the past), but for some
reason it's not working. It seems to randomly sometimes work when I switch to a dualview
setup, but sometimes it doesn't. If i restart, the bios and windows boot screen can
be seen on my tv, but once I get to the login screen it either goes back to my monitor.
If I just have the tv hooked up, I see the same boot screen, but once it reaches
the login screen it says "no signal" it says I have no signal. Does anyone have any
ideas as to how I can get this to work?
