If you can beg, steal or borrow a copy of Winternals ERD Commander CD. You can boot
the PC from the CD attach your OS during the boot process and use a nifty tool called
locksmith, off admin tools menu group, to reset administrator and other user passwords.
You may be able to find a copy somewhere on the net. The company/product was bought
out by MS some time ago and shut down, which is a pity cause it had lots of other
usefull tools, eg you could use it to run a system restore on some PCs that would
not even boot in safe mode.
But if the other respondents are right and your KB is dodgy then this wont help.
