Doesn't upset anyone, it's just that hardware issues aren't the focus here.

Your issue isn't a problem with the OS..  The video drivers for the video card, specifications 
on it's outputs, and the limitations of a typical TV set (max res of SVHS is 800X600) 
would be the issue for external NTSC monitors..  XP doesn't have any control over 
the drivers or the hardware actually.  It just coordinates and directs data as presented 
from, or to, the drivers, which in turn control and communicate with the hardware 
through the operating system..  The operating system is like the hiway system, with 
signaling to and from your house to another destination and back again.  It's not 
supposed to be changing the data along the way..  ;-)  If it does, then we start 
looking for malware and rootkits...  LOL
