Hi Alex, I agree with you. With dual-booting you can do many things very quickly.
1. Boot into a stripped down XP that has less overhead.
2. Boot into a Version of XP that will NOT automatically connect to the network.
3. Boot int a Version of XP that was not damaged by a virus. You thne scan the partition
that was infected. Some times this is the ONLY way to find the virus in a reasonable
time frame.
4. Boot into a version of XP that is only used for your business.
5. Test or use programs that are mutually exclusive.
6. Take pride in doing something the somebody else does not like. It is not against
the law.
But moderation is a factor. I seldom have more than three OS on one computer. If
I need something else, I go to another computer. Some of my PCs have only one OS.
