Between XP, installed software applications and the hardware (equal shares of the
blame), Hibernation and Sleep are not generally well-implemented.
Trouble-shooting isn't at all easy as it can be dependent on so many factors - as
above.
Lateral thinking, Hibernation might be more effective/faster in your circumstances
? Also consumes less power.
