i've installed realtec ac'97 audio drivers which came with my motherboard's cd..but the problem persists...the reason it doesn't seem to me a driver problem is, i can play all the files that are stored on my hard drives or removable drivers...no probs in those!!!!...i've tried new versions of realtec drivers...but nothing changed..here is a list of things that i've tried out so far... 1...fixed the registries both with a .reg files and k-lite codec pack.. 2... reinstalled windows xp sp2 freshly.. 3....uninstalled sound drivers and reinstalled them several times.. 4..seperately loaded those audio codecs that didn't get installed at the time of formatting.. though at time of doing so the midimapper codec dinn't get installed saying "coudn't find the MIDIMAP.cfg file "..and after browsing the xp CD i coudn't find the file there..but that same cd works fine on other machines!!!.. following is the problem that mathes exactly with mine.. http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/08/15/youtube-dailymotion-google-video-flash-games-and-applications-no-sound-and-audio-in-windows/
