Move it back when ready to re-boot again. Next, "Simplify the SCSI/IDE chain by removing devices, or move the device in question to another controller. If the problem follows the device, you should replace it." I would boot with ONLY the one drive attached, clearing the second IDE channel also. If that fails, hopefully you have a spare drive to restore your image to.
