Check the Event Viewer for errors and any indications of a hardware issue. (Event
viewer should always be the first thing to start troubleshooting with) RAM is a
good place to start, sometimes removing them and cleaning the contacts with a pencil
eraser will help.. RAM needs ultra clean contact surfaces, especially on the faster
machines today.

Other than that, a hardware issue sounds like the most probable cause.
