I'm a noobie working on MySQL in a shell and making lotsa mistakes (and was being driven crazy with the beeps). NET STOP BEEP worked great. BTW, I added it to a little .BAT file I use to change to a directory and set up for my work. Now when I start working I don't even have to think about it.
