explorer.exe crash Friday, May 1, 2009 at 2:36 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Michael Ross (5 messages posted) For the past 2-3 days I've been getting the following msg before explorer crashes: Event Type: Information Event Source: Application Popup Event Category: None Event ID: 26 Date: 5/1/2009 Time: 1:36:42 PM User: N/A Computer: MICHAEL Description: Application popup: explorer.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x05de11dc" referenced memory at "0x05de11dc". The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program Click on CANCEL to debug the program For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. I've googled 0x05de11dc and can find no reference to that particular error. Also, I can't seem to find any way to reproduce it--it just happens sporadically (maybe twice a day). I can't anything suspicious in my HijackThis log either. Any suggestions?
