No icons on desktop, no start button, no task bar
Your suggestion below seemed to be close but as explained could not complete the
path. I found means of opening d drive, so bit the bullet and re-installed xp. Now
I have control of the clean computer and any changes will be through me (administrator)
Appreciate your suggestions. Tks
Ed
Nothing on screen to allow me to do anything, only way into computer is through
task manager (cont-alt-delete). This will allow me access to some programs but I
can not get to system restore points which I think will correct the problem.
