I would have to agree with MartinM..  I use professional software that you have to 
pay for, as it automates where ever possible so there is less user interaction (which 
makes it faster), but if you have already installed an operating system on the drive, 
it may be slim to none rescuing any data.  Just depends on what your time is worth 
with no guarantee of success.

Rescuing any data at all depends on not using the drive at all or writing to it if 
you realiized your mistake after formating it.  The more the drive is used, the less 
chances of getting any of your data back.
