Thank you.
The UPS is a locally made one of unknown quality. But I saw no smoke and it has functioned
well since the crash, including coping with a few power failures.
I will not be getting a replacement hard disk since I told them that my system was
working fine with the old disk. Fortunately, enough months of the warranty remain
to protect me if the disk does fail eventually.
