Hi all. I discovered and solved the problem. I made a backup with Acronis True Image and I saved it on my external USB. The minute I unistalled, the problem went away. I guess Acronis keeps an eye over the backup image within my drive but gets a hold of it in a rather obtrusive way. Great program, but I will not have it sitting there if I am not using it. Thanx to all for your input and hlep.
