Hey all Hopefully someone knows how to solve this. I recently connected to a friend's pc via remote desktop just using their ip address. They have satellite isp and I use DSL. When I connect to them, everything runs awfully slow. Just clicking a button is a delay of 1 or 2 seconds. I opened their task manager and cpu usage is low it seems. Same on my end. I did not use a VPN. But I will mention that a few weeks ago I did use a VPN with remote desktop to connect to a lab pc at school. It worked perfectly fine. We both use Windows XP Pro SP2. Would setting up a VPN solve this problem or could it be something else? I dont think its internet connection speed. Thanks for any help. --JJ
