However, I just booted Ubuntu Linux from a Flash Drive that I created a few months ago, and the problem is resolved! Using their Nautilus program which is equivalent to Windows Explorer, I was able to delete the individual files in the two subfolders, and then the subfolders and folder. I didn't try deleting the folder or subfolders with files inside first, so I don't know if that would have worked. If I reinstall Framework 3.5 I guess I'll have this problem again!
