If "everything worked perfect before my pc crashed i reformatted the drive before 
the install." why are you so sure that "all the insides of the pc should be in perfect 
order." You either have a bad CD or problematic hardware. Something caused this thing 
you described as a "crash." That might have been a symptom. Also note that the term 
"crash" is so widely misused, that its difficult to have any idea what's really wrong.

I would suggest, that you remove as much hardware as possible, and try to re-install. 
You might also d/l and run memtest86 to test your RAM, and your hard drive's diagnostic 
program.
