Check with ACER support, if you can, for reports of this type problem. I think CK
is on the right track, suspecting power disruption in the PSU circuits.
After you try another Monitor, if the results are the same, I would try a KNOWN GOOD,
"Compatible" Power supply.
A quick look in Device Manager for Video problems is also indicated. Look for Yellow
"!" "?" on Display Adapter & Monitor .
You could also remove the GeForce 8500 GT video card, and run on the Motherboard
Video, and look for updated drivers for GeForce 8500 GT.
On second thought I'd try removing the GeForce 8500 GT video card before trying a
new PSU. Especially if the card is one you added to the system.
