PCMCIA not recognized with the isntall of XP Home Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 12:08 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Jeri (24 messages posted) Older Compaq laptop was running WIN ME. Control panel listed the PCMCIA and the 2Wire card was working. I installed XP Home. The card does not work and I realized windows Xp doesn't know it exists. (Not shown in control panel) Would a reinstall clear this up or is there an easier way that avoids activation again?
